Paintings, Textures and Love in the mist...

So, it's been a very creative time here recently, seeing some major house re-organising, de-cluttering and general home improvements...the outside of our home has now been repainted and the inside has become more functional with lots of clutter being removed...it feels really good!

I used my textures 'Storm' and 'Linen' both from Collection 1 for a watercolour effect.

The kitchen has become my studio and a new reclamation of some cupboard and shelf space has meant that I can now work more easily, we have a small but lovely home and we have to be resourceful and ingenious about our use of space! I started a new collection of textures this week and have also started a new painting, something I've been wanting to do for a while...a few fun pics below of the work in progress and my new storage space!

I used the 'colour lookup' adjustment 'Pastel & Hues' in Photoshop CS6

My new studio cupboard space!

And yes, I've been playing with Photoshop CS6...lots of fun features and it works so well with Lightroom too...watch this space for more creativity coming soon...woohoo!

  1. These are wonderful Ruth, especially the second one.
    Love the composition and colors.
I did a lot of decluttering before I went back to work, but more needs to be done.
It's strange, most people do their spring cleaning in the spring. I do mine in the fall.
