A snow free zone...

...so far at least! I fetched this one from the archives, I'm talking many years ago, back in 2003, when we had lots of snow, or as it's known in our house "the dratted flakes"...however, I felt it would lend itself to one of Kim's textures nicely...

'embrace' texture

Hopefully, we'll be lucky and make it to spring flake free this year, which, after last winter, really feels like a blessing...we know how lucky we are!

  6. awesome photo! I love it, especially when I am not looking out the window at it. I am freezing in Texas at the moment and it is 40 degrees. Would never know from how cold I get here that I grew up in the midwest.

  8. I can't imagine how annoying snow must be during the winter months, but it sure does make for a beautiful photo! Wow!

  18. "I am walking deep in to this scene...no sound except the crunch of the snow beneath my feet "....

Growing up in the North....Chicago, Indiana...and I too KNOW SNOW !
But having lived in Southeast Texas now for almost 14 years...this image just took my breath away... as we live in a no snow zone now.
This texture and editing and your image is so very, very beautiful.

Looks like it could have been taken in the 1800's.
