"Stay, little cheerful Robin, stay! and at my easement sing, though it should prove a farewell lay and this our parting spring. Then, little bird, this boon confer, come, and my requiem sing, nor fail to be the harbinger of everlasting spring"
-William Wordsworth

Each year, around Christmas, we have two robins in our gardens. People have told us this is unusual as they are known to be very territorial, but still, there they are! Through last years hard winter weather, our pair of robins became very tame, visiting our back door step for mealworms several times a day. Every summer, we start to see the baby robins hopping about, with that tell-tale round shape but no red feathers until autumn. A lovely yearly cycle we're lucky to witness...over the years, they've become known as our Christmas Robins...

Gorgeous Ruth, your Christmas Robins are wonderful, your photos so beautiful.
