This time of year I love the rich golden tones but I also begin to soak up the last of the pretty, soft colours outside, I know they won't be there much longer and because of that I'm more grateful than ever that they exist now...a reminder of the summer months full of my favourite pretty pinks...
These roses are the old fashioned ones that flower repeatedly through the season, they have been flowering since April as we had such hot weather then and they are still flowering now. They have such a strong scent too, the rose in the first photo smells like the old fashioned rose hand cream (and the Cath Kidston hand cream, my favourite!) while some are more like bubble gum. I adore the old fashioned smell of old english roses...I spent half my time taking photographs and the other half with my nose in them, inhaling the healing scent! Pure heaven for me...
