Dreamy days...

I've been experimenting again...making some new textures in between all of the other daily 'to do's'...I guess it's because I'm painting more regularly these days that my texture work is becoming more painterly too...I do enjoy a nice experiment!

As lots of you know, Izzy is a rescue pup...she was very nervous of everyone when we got her...this is how she ended up on our last trip to my mum's...not really very nervous at all now ;)

I hope you are having a good start to your week...we've been getting outside a little more (weather hasn't been great here in the UK) and finding lots of new flowers opening that we didn't know were there! I love it when that happens...happy week to you ♥

Mum's garden...

Although our garden, which is surrounded by trees, is late in blooming, with roses still firmly in bud and our wisteria still just forming, my Mum's garden, which has a sunny open position on chalky ground, is blooming away beautifully...these chives below looked so pretty along the edge of her veg plot...

And we were lucky to visit on a sunny afternoon, I always take my camera, in case there are some new flowers opening :)

A small alpine flower...

The last picture above is a tiny alpine flower, we didn't know it's name, but so pretty...I crawled along on the grass to get that shot!

We live surrounded by lush (and getting lusher by the day) woodland...it's fresh and beautiful...the squirrels zipping about busy as ever and the bird families with their young trailing about after them! So far, we have spotted a baby robin, chaffinch, greenfinch, and black birds...so fluffy and cute!
